Facebook's Zuckerberg, Twitter's Dorsey to testify to Senate Judiciary Nov.
17
- Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) CEO
Jack Dorsey will appear voluntarily before the Senate Judiciary Committee
on Nov. 17, two weeks after the election, Committee Chairman Lindsey
Graham
says.
- That hearing will focus on the two companies' "censorship and
suppression of *New York Post* articles and provide a valuable
opportunity to review the companies' handling of the 2020 election,"
according to Graham.
- The panel was preparing to subpoena the two CEOs over the issue, but
now they'll attend of their own accord.
- Dorsey and Zuckerberg are also scheduled to appear before the Senate
Commerce Committee next week to testify on the tech industry's Section
230
legal liability shield.
- After hours: FB+0.4%; TWTR+0.7%.
