Virgin Galactic sells off with Blue Origin test flight scheduled for this
week
- Virgin Galactic (SPCE-9.1%) is down sharply to trade at its lowest
level since the middle part of January.
- Volume on SPCE is about 150% of normal activity on the day.
- A development of keen interest for Blue Origin is a report that
rocket company Blue Origin (BORGN) has secured a temporary flight
restriction from the Federal Aviation Agency to conduct a major test
flight
with its New Shepard spacecraft as soon as Wednesday. The flight
restriction reportedly limits airspace movement above Blue Origin's test
facility in Van Horn, Texas for April 14 to April 17 in order to provide
a
safe environment for rocket launch and recovery. The test could be one of
the last before Blue Origin flies astronauts.
- Today's decline for Virgin Galactic also follows some recent positive
vibes from Wall Street with Truist and Bank of America both issuing bull
calls last month.
